Water

And sometimes... sometimes your greatest fears tapes you up on a steel chair in that one cold room; then all the air in the room turns to water. You take all the liquid in instead of oxygen, choking its way down your lungs until you're all flappy and unresponsive. You'll try to resist it at first, but then it wins either way. You sink, sink so deep only your greatest imaginations can save you.

So imagine. Just imagine there's no water. Maybe that will save you.

The Drunken Gospel

Her greatest lessons were learnt at home

They taught her that speaking up is talking back; and so she forced herself to zip up.

Her greatest lessons are learnt alone

She's wondering whether to ask why he's not been home for a week with no phone calls yet both have rings on their fingers; leaves in one house.

Her greatest lessons are just mere norms

'Serve him well and don't question; you're supposed to be submissive.'

They taught her that speaking up is talking back; she's zipping it.

And so when he comes back after a week with a smell of another woman's cologne so strong.

She leaves their wedding bed and makes hers in a liquor bottle; sleeps their until it's all gone.

Her greatest lessons darkens all she knows

That she can't speak up. Speaking up is talking back....
